No matter what they drive, old or new, V8 or V12, red or yellow, Ferrari owners are united by their passion for performance, quality and distinction – that’s why designing and producing a publication like the Ferrari Owners Club magazine is one of the most pleasant projects you could ever work on.
Naturally they bring the same high standards to everything they do and the Ferrari Owners Club magazine is no exception – not to mention that a Ferrari owner knows how to appreciate good design.
The magazine that we produce for the Ferrari Owners Club of New Zealand we are told by those in the know, is one of the very best Ferrari club magazines in the world. That is quite an accolade when you see the outstanding examples produced in the USA and the UK.
We recently also designed and produced a 160-page hard cover book in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Ferrari Owners Club here in New Zealand. This has been very well received by all the club members and the team in Maranello, Italy, the home of Ferrari.
The members of the Ferrari Owners Club are a group of people who know how to live life and enjoy themselves. As a result, Gary has enjoyed the odd outing such as a Sunday drive and lunch, or racing go-karts around a track with some of the most competitive guys in town. He has also been fortunate enough to join them for their annual AGM.
For us it’s the ideal relationship because we’re able to get alongside the ‘client’ and really produce something that reflects their passion – it’s really this like-minded partnership that makes the magazine so good. The club itself is a way for members to not only find a way to enjoy their cars, but also a great opportunity to mingle with other motoring enthusiasts.
We have had the honour of designing and producing the club’s magazine for nearly 10 years, and it is never without a dull moment. With a mix of excellent photography, great stories and fun people, why would you want to do anything else?
"As an editor of the New Zealand Ferrari Owners’ Club magazine, I have had the pleasure of working with Gary and his design team for a number of years. Described as the glue that holds the Club together, the magazine is our primary means of keeping members throughout the country (and abroad) updated. We’re extremely proud of what we produce, and its design truly reflects the ethos of the Club: passion, vitality and the very best in quality." Kerin Thompson
